Alaska-It's the Journey

Alaska finally! So the travel went well, left NJ at 6:30 AM 6/28 for LaGuardia Airport to catch the 12 noon (actually 1PM) Frontier flight to head to Alaska. After a stop over in Denver we arrived at Anchorage Intl Airport 10PM, still daylight-(2AM EDST). The kids were great travelers, not any complaining, and enjoying most of the adventure. The fact that they get along so well is amazing. KC her usual sweet and uplifting self and ZJ his warm and kind persona make for good travelers. Probably good role models for us.
The flying weather for 11 hours was clear with just a few bumpy spots, it made for good flight.
Anchorage hadn’t changed since we left it last year the earthquake last month left no  marks, just a reminder by mother nature. Aside for a few minor things the RV was ready to roll. Getting a good lunch under our belts we headed out for Eagle River State Camp Ground, just slightly north of Anchorage for a night camping. The gang grabbed the fishing pole and camera and headed down to the river, hoping to hook a fish for ChefZ to cook. He already brought in the firewood for campfire.

KC JOURNAL-         3 hour drive, 4 hour wait, 4 hour plain ride, another 2 hour wait, then a 5 hour plain ride. Ughhhh! That felt like the longest day of my life. The next day was our first full day im Alaska. It started out confusing. Me and my cousin Zack were goofing off all day (which made my grandmother a little annoyed) After all the packing and driving, we finally made it to a camp ground. Eagle River State Park was the name of the camp ground.
